Hi all,

Does anybody have a comparison between Maha Samadhi in Yoga practice and level of initiation by Theosophia??

Thank you for any insight.

hi cantruchd

I wonder if anyone can possibly know the answer to this question.

My understanding - I hope somebody will correct me if I got this wrong - is that theosophia is pretty devoid of actual practices, much like a philosophy.

In the absence of practices, there will be no progress through any levels, will there? Yes, the theosophist will acquire some theoretical knowledge from reading up, and perhaps growing older and wiser, but that is not at all comparable with yoga, which effects changes in the practitioner that have nothing to do with theoretical knowledge.
