Let me vastly simplify things...perhaps poorly, but I'll give it a shot.

You're not attracted (I think you'll agree) to masturbation, you're attracted to orgasm.
Proof is this: after orgasm, presumably, your yen to masturbate flags considerably.

And it may have dawned on you that orgasm might not be exactly what you're after, either.
After an orgasm, you're left feeling vacant and incomplete and, at a deep level, unsatisfied.
You've been very strongly compelled toward something, but the "prize" seems to have
been switched on you. There's relief, yes, but the climax is never quite up to the build-up.

Well, the prize has indeed been switched. It's not ejaculation you're being drawn to with
such ardor. It's God. The energy pushing you so strongly (like a freight train!) toward
orgasm isn't really pushing you toward ejaculation. It's pushing you to cosmic orgasm with
the divine - an orgasm not of pushing out, but of pushing up, higher and higher. This is a
zillion times better than ejaculation. And it lasts as long as you want it to. And it leaves
you wise and purified and energized and radiant, rather than depleted and cranky.

So...the idea here is NOT to put the brakes on your sex drive. It's to hack into that huge
storehouse of primal energy to fuel a higher purpose. And once you have, you'll realize
that this is how it's SUPPOSED to work. You've switched back to the real prize. And Paris
Hilton videos just can't possibly compare.

AYP helps you achieve this. Work on meditation and spinal breathing. You'll be surprised
how soon you'll get your first real experiential taste of what I'm describing. And you'll
eventually have looooong roiling orgasms of the heart, of the throat, of the left elbow, of
every cell in your body. And you've never felt so good, so clear, so calm, so alive in your
life.

When Yogani goes on and on about divine ecstacy, he's not just blathering and it's not
exaggeration. He really means it. And, again, your first taste comes early, so you won't
have to take my (or his) word for it. Work on the practices as he teaches them. Your first
discovery will be to find the pleasure within your spine - it's a far more erotic organ than
your penis.

I'm not speaking poetically here, and I'm not dressed in a robe banging a drum. I'm a real
dude telling you the real deal. I've seen it for myself.

Hi Jim,

Any idea how long it might take for a new person to reach this stage
of experiencing the ecstacy in places other than genitals?

I know it varies from person to person but can you roughly give me a
range? is it advanced stuff like siddhis or does it come early in the
process?

I feel meditations will be much more enjoyable then with such ecstasy
going on in the spinal cord. Sounds very exciting.

To get a taste of it? One second. To feel as if you're having an orgasm in every cell of your
body (or wherever you direct your attention)? It's pretty much the biggest "it depends"
question I can imagine. AYP is a great vehicle for getting there. But it doesn't matter, since
the path offers wisdom and bliss at every point, as Yogani so eloquently explains. It grows
and grows. And by the time you're there, you're looking for more than a sexy buzz,
anyway.

But, really, you're already there. All bhakti is divine. Your sexual energy is bhakti directed
into the wrong hose (downward-and-outward, not upward). Is Paris Hilton really worth the
focus of your deepest energies? You know she's not. Is ejaculation a glorious enough
outome to justify the deep, primal longing that pushes you toward it? You know it's not.
You don't even need to look very deep to realize it.

(sorry I'm making this guy-centric; I'm sure women can extrapolate!).

If you haven't at some point in your life had at least a fleeting glimpse of the sacred, you'd
likely not be here in the first place. Even with kundalini unawakened, we all have sufficient
evidence to reach the conclusion I described. And AYP is a terrific and efficient pathway.
Your sexual excitement, your joie de vivre, your passion and enthusiasm, your creativity,
your sense of loneliness and longing and incompleteness....all are bhakti-drenched
expressions of your connection with the divine. It's just a matter of peeling back some
dumb societal misconceptions (meditation helps) and focusing your energy via practices.
You don't need the whole enchilada; the crumbs are incredibly tasty!

I'll make this terse, but it may open up a whole realm: when you do your spinal breathing,
keep it simple, as Yogani suggests. Don't visualize, don't complicate. But....do it with
feeling. Try it, you'll like it. And report back!

Hi Suresh,

This is something that I have researched for many years. Let me tell you straight out there is NO right answer, at least not one that you can get on this plane of existence and level consciousness. There are so many schools of thought, so many Adepts with differing views, then there is modern science and sexology etc.... Every time I make contact with an Adept I ask them the same question, and I always get variations of a number of responses. These people are those who either have their Kundalini permantly raised to Crown or can do so at will, and who are either permantly live in unity consciousness or can access it at will, they are low level masters. Yet they are not fully realized, and do not have all the answers, hence the variation.

I would second what victor said, try and extend you time with out masturbation. The Key to being celibate is refraining from sex consciousness... not just masturbation. If you analyze your self, you will find a chain of cause and effect that leads to masturbation as a physical manifestation and behavioral outcome of this chain. You must train your self to see people as they are, as incarnations of the Godhead, as your others selves, etc, etc, or how ever way you see them. The point is not to look at them sexually, or to give expression of your self at the level of the Kamarupa or desire body or consciousness. If you stay out of this level of consciousness, and keep it in God Consciousness, or at leas in contact with this level of expression, your vibration will raise, and you will notice fewer and thoughts/impulses coming out of Kamarupa and with weaker and weaker power and ability to influence. With spiritual practice, this level of your subconscious mind gets cleared, till eventually there is an undistorted expression of Pure Undifferentiated Consciousness.

Of course sexual expression is not impure or gross, but the level of consciousness that we are habitually in when we are giving expression to same, is usually gross, selfish, Dualistic, and power oriented. Generally of a low vibration, so if you have any hope of increasing the time with out masturbation, you will have control your mind, from there you emotions, and then your physical behavior. As sexual charge builds, you can use spinal breathing to consciously raise it to the higher centers of the brain. This energy must be used for something, spiritual practice, intellectual pursuits, something, otherwise it will lead to neurosis and dysfunction, hence some priests sexually abusing children

In regards to masturbation, try it very slowly, with out porn, as this will excite you too much and tune you too much into the level of grosser subconscious states. Try to take your self to the point of orgasm with out crossing the threshold into ejaculation With practice, you can have orgasms, mini contractions with significant stimulation of your brain chemistry, hence the high, yet don't cross over into ejaculation, otherwise the loss will be experienced.

In my experience though, once you start masturbating, you sooner or later will go too far and come. Like all sensory pleasure, it is addictive, both psychologically and physically (brain chemistry i.e. Dopamine, Seretonin etc).

Experiment, research, intuition, this is all you can do, unfortunately, you have hit one of the barriers of human knowledge, it will be up to you to find the truth on this one, as no one has got it to give to you :-)

In kind regards,

Adam.

Hey Jim,

I agree with you with you, with out reservation! In my experience, which is probably similar to yours, we are susceptible to sense pleasures when we are not resting in Bliss Consciousness, thus in empty numbness, we seek body consciousness highs i.e. ejaculation, food, drugs, socialization, and so on and on.

Once we are established in this level of consciousness, we can if we like, partake of Tantric sexual practices, but such an impulse comes as 'one' possible expression of union with life, and not from lower mind body consciousness highs, which are really coping mechanisms for our empty numbness. Of course there is no need for such sexual practices, but if the impulse of LIFE/Divine movement, manifests as this, thus is Divine and wonderful, wholly spiritual, and totally different from what takes place in the usual animal expressions. It is different energetically, it is different experientially, you are naturally expressing from a totally different level of Self/Consciousness.

Thank you for an enjoyable post, a nice example of intuitive realization, one which is entirely congruent with my own. Of course it is not the whole story, and dramatically simplified, as you said :-)

In kind regards,

Adam.

It's not that I've attained some sort of divine state where all my worldly concerns dropped
away. That's not the case (I'm just working on stuff, am nowhere near "there" yet), plus it's
of no use to the poster, because it makes a divine state the prerequisite. Which it's not!

I was trying to be super practical in how I framed things. You needn't be an advanced
adept or holy man (I"m neither) to get a taste for the truth in what I was describing. There
are no spiritual prerequisites for trying, next time you get excited, to steer that excitation
toward unifying with god, the universe, etc, rather than toward Pamela Lee Anderson. I
think the idea, strange though it sounds, rings true at some level for all (because wacking
off to Pam, let's face it, isn't all that satisfying...not worth the build up....it feels in the end,
once again, like your prize has been switched on you). And once you get even the
slightest glimmering of this truth, you're off and running - though it may be a while before
you're actually there (meanwhile, no guilt).

Too much brahmacharya teaching is about stifling urges. That's not it! Don't dam the
river...use the current! This is especially important a concept to implant early, because
when your kundalini awakens, it's very easy to mistake it for a turbo sex upgrade. If so,
you're in trouble, because you'll be...er...pissing away a whole lot more energy than ever
before.

The goal is to hack into the high octane energy of your sex drive and use it to rev up your
spiritual journey. It's about shooting your primal energy up rather than down. It's
extraordinarily hot and sexy and orgasmic, but it's got nothing to do with the sex act itself
or ejaculation. It's not about the sex act itself even if you choose the path of trantra, which
seems, superficially, to be ALL about the sex act.

If you proceed with meditation and spinal breathing, understanding that this isn't an issue
akin to Catholic sin, and you have even a vague intuitive grasp of what's in store, you'll
grow into it just fine. Meanwhile, give Pam my best regards (and, per Victor's advice, pull
back the frequency if you can here and there).

But remember: it's bhakti. It's good. It's just attached to the wrong hose.

The word "yoga", btw (according to a Sanskrit scholar I know) means "yoke". Which, in
modern parlance, could be taken to mean getting your bhakti attached up to the right
hose.

Hello there,
I can verify that any strong emotion or urge can be morphed into
Bhakti, I have been doing this with success for some time, but take
care I have found that it is so effective it can lead to burn out,
remember self pacing.
