Hi Hellothere,
Welcome to the forums.
Losing weight fast is not a common kundalini symptom. I would recommend that you go and see your doctor over that as there could be a medical cause.

Hello hellothere, I have lost 30 pounds (14 kg) over the last years undirectly related to kundalini. The high current that I now experience 24/7 for 5 years has affected badly my nervous and immune system. The result is chronic inflammation wich bring many health issue and weight loss. Doctors told me that I have a "disease" called "spondilitis ankilosis" but surprise surprise, they don't know how it happens and how to cure it. I do know how it happened but I am still struggling for the cure part...
You could go see your doctor and ask for a test called "C-Reactiv Protein" wich measure the inflammation.
Wish you the best!

Hi John,
I am sorry to hear about the problems you have been having with your health. There are no known correlations between kundalini awakenings and the disease of ankylosing spondylitis. Personally I have met hundreds of people who are kundalini awakened but have never heard of this disease before, so it is almost certainly not related to the kundalini energies. If it were, with 10's of thousands of awakened people around the world, we would know about it by now for sure.
So it is good to assume that it is a coincidence that your disease began after your kundalini symptoms began. I hope you manage to find a cure for the disease, or are able to manage it well.
If you are feeling that the energy of kundalini is too strong moving through your body, there are things that you can do to reduce the current. The first is to cut back on your spiritual practices. The second is to engage in grounding activities such as heavy work, or walking in nature. There are other things that can help such as eating heavier food for a while and avoiding sex.

Excellent advice from Christi.
I would add to this that certain static holds along with a balanced physical (yoga/chi gong/tai chi) practice could restore the system. I am thinking of static holds such as the horse stance, held for long times. Depending on your abilities, starting with about half a minute and gradually increasing the times. In China incredible vitality of monks has been attributed to holding the horse stance for over an hour every day.
Chanting practices of certain mantras can have similar effects on vitality and regaining a rigorous body. When done for prolonged time, the combined effects of peace and improved respiration patterns is very powerful.
Until the body is strong one should be careful with pranayama practices. It may be best to leave them aside. They can be potent both in strengthening and weakening the nervous system depending on how they are done.

Well, the same thing happened to me. I have an abnormally fast metabolism anyway, and the spontaneous k awakening sped it up even more. The result being that I was rapidly losing weight. Also not sleeping enough. In order to correct the problem, one major change was incorporated into my lifestyle: Regular breakfast. This helps immensely to slow me and my metabolism to a (more or less) normal rate. I also make sure to get at least 7 hours sleep and if more is needed, then it is arranged, even the occasional nap. One other thing that is helping in general with every health issue I have is breath meditation. When I sense my metabolism or thoughts are racing, focusing on my breathing for a few minutes or more - seems to slow me down substantially.
Wanted to add: The k awakening just about forced me to pay more attention to my body, and take care of it better. I used to be rather addicted to life in the fast lane, and it was very hard to sacrifice my racing around in order to eat breakfast, which at first I detested. But I am so much more at peace and happier now as a result of being disciplined about regular breakfast and sleeping sufficiently. Hope this helps.

I lost 15 lbs quickly with kundalini awakening. I'm a small female. I have slowly gained it back over the years. Please don't worry. |

So am I,
Of course the k awakening increases the metabolism but it can also be that you eat less than before (I do) and I had to do as described above : regular breakfast ! |

Agree with Parvati as I also lost 15 pounds three years due to K awakening. As you are losing weight and due to the anxiety it also adds to the weight loss.
Now i have gained most of the weight but i am eating less also. Doing the breath meditation definitely helps in slowing down the train. just be in awareness with not doing any formal practice will definitely help. |
