I did an allergy panel and turns out I'm allergic to dust (dust mites). I'm symptom free except when I inhale large quantities of dust, esp. when using vacuums with poor filters. I get runny nose and I sneeze intensively then.
Can ayurveda help with this? I don't want to turn into a cleanness freak and run from mites, but to remove the sensitivity to them.
hey microcosm I am also quite allergic to dust mites. I have been to many specialists and took many drugs and by far the best thing to reduce my symptoms is having a healthy diet and not to much junk food. So i would say yes in general having a well balanced diet per your ayuervedic constitution could be helpful.
They also have nasal therapies to clear the sinuses. which is what they done to me when i went in with the same complaint.
Using a neti pot as perscribed in the diet, shatkamas book is also beneficial for this.
