i'm sure this has been asked before, but there's an intimidating amount of material to sift through here. *shrugs*

the book says to bring the awareness up on the inhale and down on the exhale. yet it feels most natural to go down with the inhale and up with the exhale.

is there a reason why i shouldn't do it the way that feels most natural? doesn't it have the same cleansing affect either way?

every time i do it as instructed, it just feels awkward. i'm sure i can get used to it, but i'm not a fan of going against my natural flow unless it's for good reason.

thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Later on, when additional practices are added your attention has to be at the third eye at the end of the inhale for effective purification. SBP accomplishes this
