Hello everyone

I am practicing daily meditation AYP
for some years
I practice the 9 sutras, I feel stabilized with 2 repetitions for each sutra

I would like to add another sutra
I did some practice with sutra "notions" and
  "bondage of the mind "

I feel that the sutra "bondage of the mind" brings into my life daily discomfort, I do not feel stabilized

I could practice the sutra "bondage of the mind" only 1 rep?

thank you

I would say yes, if it works for you.

After we get easy and stable with the basic samyama practice, I think it's OK to add a personal sutra.

Mine was "show me".

Hello

AYP, these sutras are listed in the appendix of the book SAMYAMA, you think he is better placed on this forum (other systems ...)?

Shanti Hello, nice to hear (read) you

if I do not feel stabilized with sutra "bondageof the mind" you believe that I am very sensitive to this sutra?

I ask about only one repetition of the sutra?

about my case you believe that only one repetition of the sutra is softer to my nervous system?

thank you

(sorry my bad english)

"bondage of the mind" may be bringing up too much purification if you think it is overloading you.

You can try 1 repetition if you'd like and see how you feel.

The other thing that helps me... is doing a sutra like "bondage of the mind" (or in my case "show me") and note the discomfort that arises during the day, then try samyama on that. "bondage of the mind" may bring up many issues at once.. but picking one that really stands out and taking it to samyama with you may not cause as much overload? Does it make sense?

yes, it makes sense

I think it is Self-Pacing ?

maybe this sutra is overloading my nervous system, then Self-Pacing is the best way

long ago I do not read in AYP
I need to refuel with good information

thanks again

I like that... self pacing...

Or in my case it's more like breaking up the "bondage of the mind" into bite size pieces that I can chew on and swallow... my "bondage of the mind", if worked on in one go, would actually choke me... ha ha

Another suggestion... if you do want to stay with the AYP lessons (not the appendix, which has additional pieces of info that are there for experimenting with if the practitioner wants to... that is why this topic was moved to Other Systems and Alternate Approaches... since the material in the appendix is not baseline AYP practice, but an experiment )... why not try Cosmic samyama? http://www.aypsite.org/299.html

OK.. last one for now...
There is also a self inquiry with samyama if you'd like to look into...
http://www.aypsite.org/351.html

Although, it does go a bit ahead... if you can read up the lessons prior to that and think you can build self inquiry into the core samyama practice, you could try it.
