I am doing Kundalini Yoga (Buddhist version-Candali) and am running into a slight obstacle when it rises. here's an example:

I do the yoga then after a while, usually i have to be relaxed and not thinking at all about Kundalini, and in a sortof non-conceptual drifting state of mind, it will begin to rise . THEN what happens is there is a JOLT, like a psychic "Bam-POW!" (think Batman Cartoons) , then (habitually) my ego goes "oh yeah, here goes the Kundalini" and i notice it which throws me out of the previous state of relaxation, and into a conceptual state, which THEN stops the Rise....

Any type of 'trying' to Relax or Let doesnt help, as the 'trying' seems to engage 'effort' which seems to trigger the Stop.

anyone ever had this type issue, and got advice based on experience on how to not have this happen ?

The instruction i received when empowered for it was to simply "let go" , however , when i do that, it still seems to be too much 'effort' or concept, and still Stops it by engaging the concept mind.

BTW, i am an Intelectual type, i am assuming thats part of the issue.... (kundalini helps though, it helps to cut that, even if its just the yoga w-out the full rising yet).

You need to meditate twice a day to calm that part of your mind. When you are in the right state of mind miracles happen and you won't react like that.

Part of your mind already knows that other state, but it is overruled by too much ego thinking as a conditioned, knee-jerk reaction. Because, like all of us, you do it all day long.
