Hi All,
As we know, Yogani has, unconditionally given us so much in his writings, one on one help and this amazing forum, all for free (to us).

Thank you Yogani.

One way to give back (again wont cost us a dime.) is to write reviews on Amazon for the books that we read. I know many of us read his books but dont think about writing a review (well, I always forget). It does not take much time and it helps sell the books. The more reviews there are for the books, the more people will buy the books.

Right now, the AYP Easy Lessons for Ecstatic Living, Volume 2, Retreats - Fast Track to Freedom and Liberation - The Fruition of Yoga and Advanced Yoga Practices Support Forum Posts of Yogani 2005-2010 books could really use some review (reviews on other books are very much welcome as well ).

Yogani's latest books were released a couple of weeks back: http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....PIC_ID=11580

Thanks All for the help you all have given over the years. AYP is about all of us, and helping with the book sales (one way is by writing reviews on the books) is a way we can ensure that AYP stays free and available to many.

Thanks for the reviews.

We could use some more. It really does not take a long. Just express what you felt the book meant to you.

That is a good reminder. I got the two volumes paperback at thebookdepository and only now see that they too have a review field for their books, and just remembered secrets of wilder as well was from there.

Reviews go a long way to help readers find what it is they are looking for. A lot of great books I have found thanks to reviews and people passing along their recommendations.

Just wrote my Amazon review of "Retreats"

I found it described the AYP retreat experience pretty well. It even mentioned my "problem" of uncontrollable monkey laughter.

"Liberation" is next. Just need to finish it first

Thanks Shanti for the reminder.

Hi Shanti, AYP friends and Yogani,

I loved the book Liberation. Here is a copy of the review I will be posting on Amazon:

And so, day after day, we do our chosen advanced yoga practices -- our deep meditation, our spinal breathing pranayama, our samyama, our self-inquiry -- and we may wonder where it is leading. Implicitly, we know. Unarticulated glimpses of the mystery surrounding neuro-biological purification inspire us to keep going, urge us to trust the process. And over time, concepts like "pure bliss consciousness" and "ecstatic conductivity" express intimately, a deep relationship with our own process.

I am so very grateful to Yogani for this latest book in his "Enlightenment Series." Reading the text was, for me, a radiant celebration of letting go in stillness, and a compelling invitation to continue claiming my practices.

One pleasant surprise was a section on writing as a way of clarifying our inner dialogue with Self. Yogani writes:

"There is a progression going from external, relatively random and internally uninformed writing, to an internal, highly illuminated kind of writing. If we keep up our spiritual practices, and keep writing, these two areas of development can merge in a divine outpouring."

Liberation, the book, is in my view "highly illuminated writing." It is simple to understand and powerful, filled with divine love, and suffused with a marvelous quality of surrender. I hope many, many yoga practitioners will read it and find benefit.

Here is my review on the Retreat book:

A very helpful little handbook and a must have if you are planning on attending, organizing, leading an AYP retreat. And if you have never considered attending an AYP retreat, just read this book, it will change your mind and you will have a good idea on how much a retreat can boost your practices.

Yogani covers the beauty of being in a group setting for the duration of a few days and how every individual in the group adds to the field of silence that enhances the experience of silence for every other individual in the room. I love the way he chalks out the experiences of a person who is attending the retreat for the first time. Having lead a few retreats I can attest to the fact that he has the experience down very accurately. It starts off with "not sure" and by the second day leaves people wondering, "How can I be feeling what I am feeling on the inside and toward all these people in the room? I don't even know them and yet I feel a bond, feel closer to them than many people I have known all my life." The best part is, after leaving the retreat we take this unusual feeling of unconditional loving with us... every retreat changes us a little more from the inside and makes us more open and living from inner silence. He covers the kinds of purification experiences we may have and how to handle them, how to talk about them with leaders, and when to self-pace at retreats.

He also has very clear instructions on what needs to happen if we want to organize a retreat. The kind of place, location, rooming, meals, pricing, advertising and how to get help from the AYP support forum.

He has really good advice for the retreat leaders as well on how to have a balanced retreat and what kind of questions normally come up and how to reply to them utilizing the AYP knowledge. He also has instructions on how a leader can guide anyone else interested in becoming a leader so we have more leaders and more retreats can be held.

He has very clear instructions on the retreat schedule, managing the schedule, different kinds of retreats that can be organized beginning with solo retreats that we can do at home, to weekend retreats, to advanced retreats and how the scheduling of these will change and also talks about specialized retreats for advanced practitioners where self-inquiry or samyama or additional kundalini directed practices or kirtans(singing, dancing, chanting to devotional songs) can be introduced.

He talks about how to transition back to normal life after retreats. This can be a challenge for some, but knowing what to do in advance helps get us ready for the real world smoothly after retreats.
All in all, I would say it is amazing how once again, in about 100 pages, Yogani has managed to give us so much that may take many books and years of trial and error to figure out.

Now "Liberation"... here I come!!!

Awesome reviews so far! Just entered another two reviews, though on amazon this time. Writing them is their own reward too, because it helps reflect back and re-consider points that may have been missed, or discover new connections.

Look very forward to the Retreats book, and reading more reviews...

Finally got to reading the other reviews for Retreats now that mine is up, and I have to say they were enjoyable and insightful, especially coming from so many different perspectives.
