How to drop it?
If I drop it;
then how will I understand?
How will I totally see?
If I hurry;
then how can I not desire?
How can I simply be?
If I constantly guard;
then how can my heart remain open?
How can I love what I see?
No
I cannot drop it
And yet:
Nothing is wrong with me
I am one single drop
All I can do is surrender
To gravity
To grace
I tremble
Here; on the edge;
nothing is known to me
Still;
I trust that
suddenly
I’ll slip off my leaf
to merge
and be free
with the sea
