quote:
The state of silent-I, behind the speaking #8215;I‘, is the greatest mantra. This I-state is the greatest mantra. Brahadaranyaka Upanishad says that the first name of God is #8215;I‘. #8215;Om‘ - the primal sound and vibration come into existence only after the #8215;I‘ thought. There is no japa at all without the doer of the japa. All do the japa of #8215;I‘ only. How many times we say I-I-I in our lives. All do japa of #8215;I‘ only. Be as you are. Reality, i.e., pure nonphysical awareness right now, is the real japa. Japa and God are one and the same. You are perfection. Abandon the idea of imperfection. There is nothing to be dropped. Ego is not a real thing, just as it is not necessary to kill the rope which one imagines is a snake. Also, there is no need to destroy the imaginary mind. Paying attention to the mind makes the mind benign and it disappears. Stability in the silent stillness of the Self is the real asana. Be steady in that real posture.

Hi Ananda,

A question for you, if I may. Have you felt or feel a vibration in your upper head (crown area) while enjoying inner silence ? This vibration is not any "unstruck sound" aka 'eeee', buzzing sound etc, but rather that of a truck idling i.e the upper head is actually vibrating ? This vibration doesn't do any harm for me but it is unnerving in the sense that there is physical vibration.

Awaiting your response.

Hello, yes this is usual but it's really soft now unlike the old days. This is the crown chakra vibrating. I suggest reading the ayp lessons on it. They've been of great help in this issue over here. Love, ananda

But no i don't feel it all the time while in inner silence. The method of awareness watching awareness is excluding everything outside like the body, mind and thoughts and just being awareness. On the other hand reading and writing about the crown makes it really active :-)

Thanks for your response, Ananda.

Yes it is a low vibration but loud enough to notice.

For some reason i've noticed the same thing also today every time i abided in awareness.. Fair to say if we r experiencing any overloading symptoms we should self pace. In my case i've surrendered the whole thing to god bhagavan to take care of it. I am a big believer in letting god take care of things and trusting him and this always works. Namaste

IMHO, it can't be overload especially since I am not anxious with anticipation. The vibration just shows up. I am going to chalk it up to purification

As a precursor to these vibrations, I have "cool" movements of air or energy (definitely a cool and dynamic feeling) on the top of my head.

All good it seems This practice seems to be self pacing by itself Anyways don't indulge in it, just be with awareness... If it happens ok let it be and if not let it be so also. The aim is to go within and let go of body and mind and thoughts and the outer world... Just be in awareness... This is what Sri Ramana meant by introverting the mind.

I am still not so much of an expert on this practice, just following up on the words of Sri Ramana and his disciples... So any inputs from you or anyone else with experience would be appreciated my dear friend.

Up till now, all seems really good. Yogani and those sages weren't kidding when they said "Pure Bliss Consciousness."

Love,
Ananda
