so I have been practicing tantra on and off for a few years. I could practice with myself every day for 1 month straight without releasing my sexual energy. I got to a point where i practiced for 5 hours straight last week and didn't feel anything. before when I started I would be really sore when I would practice for over 2 hours.

And very recently my sessions are intense. I am really sexually turned on, and my sexual organ is fully erect. in fact, it is like a solid rock. it is good, but my question is this. why am i so sore after practicing only for 1-2 hours? the area isnt necessarily my testicles, even though it feels like it. but the area surrounding it. are these glands? it's the area right beneath the skin. it gets so sore that I feel the pain my stomach, and it hurts to touch the parts all over. i am thinking i should take a 1 day break because i practice every day 1-2 hours per sitting, but 2-3 or even 1-5 sittings. any feedback?

If by practice, you mean the physical touching aspect of practice, then I would suggest that if you are sore from that then to definitely take a break.

Pain could be a couple of things.

Firstly, the obvious skin friction. Lubrication could help, as would taking a break for a few days.

Secondly, you are probably involuntarily tensing a lot of muscle around the lower abdomen, this could potentially become very sore if there is no rest. Not usually an issue, but several hours every day and it could, possibly.

Thirdly, that is a lot of sexual energy to be building, it could be that it has built to the point of feeling it as physical pressure and pain.

Two solutions I would suggest.

Firstly, you need to, erhm, 'release' the energy if you have just been building it like this at such an intense level.

Secondly, LAY OFF for a couple of days, sheesh. Go for a walk or shower or something

And finally, a question for you - are you frequently applying pressure to the perinium at the point of ejaculation to prevent emission? I have heard occasional stories of people putting themselves in pain through using that technique too much.

But yeah, let it out then take a couple of days off for now. It won't kill you.

Perhaps your body is trying to tell you that you spend too much time doing this practice.

do you let the erection go down every so often? a nurse told me about the dangers of viagra, she said that in the penis, when hard, the blod does not circulate. The blood that goes in for an errection stays there until the penis is soft, then that same blood goes back into the blood stream. and therefore the reason a long erection is dangerous in that it does not constently recieve oxygen in the blood, therefore it is important to let the blood out, become unerect, and then let new blood in. she said more or less if you have blood in the penis too long, meaning erect, essentially it could die. something like that, maybe some one on here who knows more about that could chime in

I believe the multiorgasmic male goes into this a little bit, saying let the erection go soft every twenty minutes or so as a guideline.
