The dream is felt as reality because you are missing the self-remembering; you are missing "I am". If there is no remembering of oneself, then the dream becomes reality. If there is the remembering of oneself, then reality, the so-called reality, becomes just a dream.

This is the difference between dreaming and reality. If you are, then the whole reality is just a dream. If you are not, then the dreaming becomes reality.

Nagarjuna says, "Now I am, for the world is not. While I was not, the world was. Only one can exist." That doesn't mean that the world has disappeared. Nagarjuna is not talking about this world, he is talking about the world of dreaming. Either you can be or the dreams can be -- both cannot be.

The more real you become inside, the more unreal becomes the surrounding world.

~Osho

Only a true narcissistic would understand it.

It is the center of gravity of "self" that shifts from mind toward abiding inner silence, until the mind no longer rules. Then the mind continues as servant, not master.

Our relationship with the "crow" is a barometer of our condition. It will change as our sense of self gradually stabilizes in stillness.

~ Yogani

So yes, when you are resting in the witness as Self, then you will not be disturbed by the sound of the crow. But in that state you are still seperate from the crow. It is object, and you are the subject witnessing the sound it makes, undisturbed. Going beyond the witness state involves a subtle shift in identification beyond the separation of subject/object.

Then the crow is no longer your master, but your Self. Your Self, cawing at your Self. Nothing but God everywhere. It is perfection, and the perfection of it is bliss.

~ Christi

Funny; crows we have here, have an annoying sound, and frogs have a soothing sound.

The ultimate in irritating and detuned harmonics is most likely the sound generated by fingernails on a chalkboard. There is simply nothing remotely harmonious about that screeching, abrasive sound, so we react strongly whenever we're forced to hear it.
