First completely drive away the confusion caused by the world by making the world outside subside into nothingness.There the seer sees that world-free void as an object.Destroy that void as well in the ocean of Consciouness That is the seer's true nature"

Ramana Mahrashi:Nevermind whether there are visions or sounds or anything else or whether there is void.Are you present during all this or are you not ?...It is the mind that sees objects and that finds a void when it ceases to see and experience,but that is Not "you". You are the constant ilumination that lights up both the objects and the void..... .. then Ramana quotes verses 212 and 213 of Vivekachudamani in which the disciple says:"after i eliminate the 5 sheaths as not Self,i find that nothing at all remains " and the Guru replied that the Self or that by which all modifications and their absence (void) are perceived is always there. ... then a little later Ramana said:"First one sees the Self as objects,then one sees the Self as void then one sees the Self as Self only.In this last there is No being because seeing is being." (Guru Vachaka Govai/Muruganar)
