Muruganar wrote verse 10 of Guru Vachaka Kovai originally in the following way:
"Upon examination,it will be discovered that all these letters are certainly not those written by me ,a dull-witted fool, through intellectual exertion. The one who wrote them is Venkatavan ,divinity in human form"

Venkatavan is one of the names of Ramana Maharshi that Muruganar frequently uses in his poetry.Upon reading this verse,Ramana Maharshi made the following changes..now verse 10 reads:

"Upon examination,it will be discovered that this elegant Guru Vashaka Kovai, was not sung by me, a dull-witted fool through intellectual exertion. It was Venkatavan, divinity in human form who without conscious volition cause me to sing it."
