When we were "primitive", back as hunter/gatherers,

We were filled with wonder and presence.

We did not delude ourselves that we could, or should attempt to
control the flow of life. Life was everywhere... predator, prey
and other.. To be separated from the flow, was to become vulnerable
to sudden death.

Now we "moderns" sit in our air-conditioned tombs, separated from
others by cubicles and tract homes.

We wonder why we struggle so, to be "natural".

We have no choice, but to do heroic things, to undo all the damage
we have accumulated, so that we may once again be simple.

We learn to struggle in a most powerful and focused fashion, so that
the dross may be burned away. Until it becomes pointless to struggle,
as there is nobody to struggle and nothing to struggle against,
just like when we were "primitive".

Namaste,

Kevin Cann
