There are some more very good vids from him about spinal breathing.
This question is hard to answer on a belief basis only. But some here have also experienced by practice, that if you concentrate on the spinal nerve, past things come up. The more silent and continuous your awareness travels the spine, the more subtle and immense amounts of your past becomes visible and with that starts dissolving and transforming into purer energy.
He is right that it is one of those rare ultra direct and effective techniques that dissolve your past fast, but there are many others aswell.
Those karmic inprints in the spine are like structured air in a big elastic baloon. If the opening is small, the air comes out very slowly and so does your karma express itself "the normal pace" and the way it is structured.
If the opening gets bigger, the air comes out much faster and so does the stored impressions express themselves much faster.
SBP is like letting the opening of the baloon as it is and going inside the baloon and transforming your past into purer states (less structured air) till one day it is transformed alltogether into the one ultimate substance of pure being.
Bringing the mind to stillness and the increasing of stillness is like making the opening bigger and starting to look inside before the structured air has started to express itself on the "outer level". This looking inside also starts to transform the inner air.
The silent mind does not know where the past is hidden, but starts to locate it sooner or later in the spine.
SBP is like a cheat =P
Both release and transform the stored up impressions in their way, the first directly where they are, the second through making the hole bigger and looking more and more inside.
There are endless methods and ways to adress this, but some are more easy and effective and some less.
In that sense Gurunath knows what he is speaking about. |
