I currently have an asana routine which easily takes 1 hour. I usually don't have the time to spend an hour on asanas...though when I do, it does feel great (especially since I also work out. When I stopped working out for a period of time, the asanas sucked. When I work out/do sports, the asanas feel great). If I really needed to, I could stick to my routine...but I have no clue how I am being affected "spiritually", that is, in terms of chakras, pranas, etc. How do you go about selecting which asanas to do? i can expand more on my routine if needed...

Welcome to AYP forums Holomorphism.

Here is a sequence of asanas that Yogani has defined that, like all other AYP practices, are condensed for time and efficiency.
There will be others who will chime in who are more experienced in asanas and let you know what else can be added to this.

Carson has written an awesome lesson on the asana routine here that may be helpful too.

Also, everyone has a few asanas that are kinda their favorite,, you can add those to the AYP sequence.

Hope this helps.

Wish you all the best.

PS: Yogani's Asanas, Mudras & Bandhas - Awakening Ecstatic Kundalini is a wonderful book too. Explains the AYP asana routine very nicely.
