Namaste All,

Wow i havent read so much flames in ages. Just as a side thot to all the
discussions going here why cannot we just accept whats going on and enjoy
things for wht they are rather than for what they shud be.

I am probably not a learned or yogic person like all the people here but i
know that perhaps the first step towards anything of self healing or
discovery is for 'acceptance' this alone can stop our egos in its place. I
enjoy what people here discuss for wht it is, if its kundalini yoga, great.
if its Yogani's way of Yoga, even better or if its any other way of Yoga
related to wht can set us free, i am all for it.

What i however do not understnd is that why do we need to discuss the
modalities of how and why rather than "here and now"?? The subject at hand
is that this forum is for people both experienced or beginners who are
discovering new things by following this particualar method of yoga. I guess
we can deviate a little along this way but to keep the objective in mind :-)

Surely we can accept and we are big hearted enuf to accomodate people who
can tend to move a little off topic. I AM A VERY ENTHUSASTIC PERSON BTW.
And i guess enthusism is good and infectious. It charges you in a certain
way that nuthin else can and u feel u can take on the word JUST CAUSE I FEEL
THAT ANYONE CAN. I guess its better to release the energy than to have it
choke u inside.

I am trying to work on what Yogani said and also what Yogi Bhajan said by
trying his Soodarshan Kriya along with breathing exercises to first clear
out my nervous system and in due process the K shall rise by itself when
enuf energy has accumalted or when my system has cleared again. I am not
sure if thats a good idea so anyone who has tried both may please help me
out a little by giving me possible solutions to my problem.

My question wud be for people who are not really able to concentrate, and
how they have been able to overcome this problem of trying to do yoga. To
trace the breath is not easy as it sounds and i can barely start feeling my
perineum let alone start tracing the breath. Although Yogani has elaborated
very nicely in initial and later lessons also that the idea is to start
training the mind to trace the breath and then later with Sambhavi it will
only get better.

Is'nt it a better idea to first try something like Nadi Shodhna etc to clear
out the passages or maybe Soorsarshan Kriya (Which i find to be an advanced
stage of pranayama) and then proceed further on to what Yogani said?

What do people who had trbl concentrating on these initial lessons have to
say abt it. Also what times are best to strt these exercises. I guess idel
is early in the morning at maybe 4:00 AM or so but any other times tht suit?
Also how many times can one do it? Nadi Shodhana or Soodarshan Kriyas or any
other exercise anyone can suggest.

As per Yogani meditation and Yoga shud be done seperately but what shud be
the routine? Patanjali had reccomended that Yoga be done before meditation
so that the energy created by the postures is utilised in meditation and
self absorbtion. Any ideas??

Om Tat Sat
Dan

P.S : My posting was not meant to hurt anyones feelings and so i apologise
to anyone who feels bad abt my earlier comments.

I think you may be trying too hard.

One interesting and effective way of working is to use imagination
not concentration.
With your eyes closed imagine you are looking at your perineum and
then just follow the breath up the spine. No concentration just easy
imagination.

Try it and dont give up, it will come.

don't you trust yourself enough to experiment?
it is your body. it knows what to do.
if you get out of the way it will be able
to get on with what it needs to do
