2010
The flying reindeer’s have passed, A brand New Year’s within our grasp. Is 2010 the year of the Third Eye? Or is it another year for living blind?
Now that Santa is in the North Pole, Has man once again forgotten its soul? If Christmas is the season of giving, Could this be the season for forgiving?
The petty divisions of surface mind's Separating enemies and allies, Families and friends, Strangers and inner ties.
You’re absolved of sin so delve within And taste the Truth of your being. In the stillness It awaits, Everything we experience and radiate.
There is only One Power within Because everything is God’s kin. So let’s pause daily to appreciate Our communion with all It creates.
Matthew M Bates 31/12/2009
“Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10
Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year for 2010!

That's great Matt, lovely poem
Just a point, which may seem pedantic. The date after your name at the end is a day ahead of the posting date. Not sure how copyright works but it may invalidate it, and your poem is worth copyrighting.
Also, you can use the © symbol, which can be accessed on your keyboard by pressing Alt and then entering 0169 on the numeric keypad on the side of your keyboard (if you have one), amazing what Google can show us!!.
Happy new year

Thank you for your beautiful compliment & insightful tips Sparkle
The date difference is due to our time zone difference.
In Sydney, it was the 31/12/09 when I wrote & sent it, but that wasn't the case in the time zone this forum runs on, which I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't point it out
Also in Australia we write our dates day/month/year, whereas in the US I think you use the month/day/year format if I'm not mistaken.
Anyways, I'm happy for people to freely share my poem if they wish too.
Thank you again.
Blessings |
