So, I've been practicing the holdback and blocking methods for about a year with good results, usually not having more than one or two genital orgasms a month, sometimes blocked and awake, sometimes asleep in wet dreams. The wet dreams are annoying because of their seemingly uncontrollable nature, but I had come to accept them when they were few and far between, i.e. no more than once a week and usually more like once a month.
The past week, however, I've had three wet dreams--one every other day! I can't understand what could be causing it as I'm not doing things much different than usual. Last week was a bit more active sexually than average because I recently got back from a trip where I had not been able to see my girlfriend for about a month, but it's certainly not like I haven't been able to handle having regular sex without wet dreams before--I have just fine in the past. Perhaps now I've developed some hang-up about it causing me to have more fantasies? I would still not say that I have a lot more fantasies than usual--generally even if I have some fantasies, look at pornography or what have you, it will not actually result in a wet dream unless it's been two weeks or more.
This is very different and frustrating and I can't quite explain it. My "witnessing" ability is not yet good enough to stay present throughout my dreams (and the dreams are often not even explicitly sexual--the other day I dreamed I really had to pee and that resulted in a wet dream--It's not as if I'm constantly dreaming about sex). Also, not having sex seems not to have worked either, since I didn't have sex these past two days and yet the result was the same. Given that, is there anything I can do about this? |

don't be annoyed... just ignore the wet dreams and carry on with your sadhana/meditation
if we eat food, we go sh*t
sexual content (or being more active sexually) = food for mind
so just eat as much as you can digest, don't over eat
if you over eat, you get diarrhoea and it takes time to get back to normal :)

Interesting perspective. I hadn't thought of it that way before. I'll try moderating my intake of sexual stimuli a bit and hopefully things will smooth out. Thanks for the advice. |

many things you can do, one would be not to analyze it too much and further complicate just a thought Brother Neil |

hi tamasaburo, Wazz up? ..Are u cool in there??![](icon_smile_cool.gif)
You know,i've been like you also. But as times go on,i realized that having wet dreams is normal.
Personally,i reached for 85 days without wet dreams without struggling whatsoever with food, etc. You know, something like do's and dont's.Then back again into monthly cycle..and so on.
All i did was to meditate regularly and experiment the so-called restraint of 'waking orgasms'.it's really not the same as during sleeping orgasm. And although everybody had a different views, you can try to prove it by having your 'wet dream discharge' for a sperm count analysis..try it then you'll find that it has no sperms in it.![](icon_smile.gif)
And from my researched and experience,it is the most important thing to preserve--the sperms..
Take care and just keep on meditating regularly..
