Hi All,
The Christian Shaivism thread is more specific (to that unique development).
This is more general:
Most people probably perceive Christianity & Non-Duality as being mutually exclusive.
The fascinating thing is not just that this is not so ... but that it has never been so.
Misunderstanding and purposeful misinformation, disseminated by those wishing to control large numbers of people, made it otherwise.
Christianity has always been non-dual, at essence (reality is non-dual; Christ is just Shakti by another name. <- Or the part of Shiva known as Shakti, per Christian Shaivism).
All the emphasis on "Jesus the historical person" was a later development.
Here are some links which may be of interest:

"We do well to learn from India’s very long history of reflection on God and gods, Goddess and goddesses, if we are to speak intelligently of the God in whom we believe and to whom we pray. Faith ought to be single-minded, but theology has a duty to be broad and ever more open to new learning."
