namaste friends,

i was wondering about what has been happening with me lately.

it seems that the practices of self inquiry, advaitic affirmation, awareness\mindfulness, and simply being quiet and open are bringing forth the same effects i used to have while practicing samyama: kriyas, rapid breathing in precise and waves of bliss, the whole ecstatic blissful nerve contraction thingy...

is this a trait of relational self inquiry and is anyone else around here experiencing smthg similar?

would appreciate any feedback.

p.s: samyama is a practice to whom i am very sensitive and it's been a while now since i stopped it.

Shanti

As you proceed with self inquiry, it starts to get less and less mindy and the answers start coming more from within, from the silence. This experience is very similar to samyama.
In samyama you take the sutra and let it go in silence, in self inquiry you take your question and let it go in silence. Silence amplifies.

Yogani explains it well here:

I stopped doing the samyama practice some time back too, except when I do it in group meditation. I have talked about it here: http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....page=2#41101
