Sat nam,
I AM a practitioner and Teacher of Kundalini yoga, AS TAUGHT BY YOGI
BHAJAN. Trimming the frenulum is preparation for an ADDED practice TO
KY, called Kechari.For those un-familar with the benefits of this, it
is covered in Lesson #108. KY, as taught by Yogi Bhajan frowns on
relying on some Guru, TO TAKE ONE TO Higher States of Consciousness.
The Emphasis is on THE GURU within, and through diligent daily
practice, ONE TAKES ONESELF TO SAMADHI, or Enlighttenment!!! It is I
who FEEL COMPASSION for YOU, as this form of yoga sounds a lot like
Indoctranation to me, not free-will, as God gave to us all!
ALL WORRY IS FEAR, AND FEAR is Ignorance, so why BE afraid? God,
through The Law of Karma, Neutralizes IT ALL, so why worry about a few
bad seeds?
GU--stands for Darkness/Duality
RU--stands for LIGHT/DIVINITY
A Truly Enlightened GURU will ONLY DO what IS GOOD: TO Bring those
Souls who are lost and living in Darkness, INTO THE LIGHT. God/Cosmic
Consciousness does the REST!!! For me, MY GURU IS WITHIN MYSELF.
ONE MUST BE ABLE TO SEE GOD IN EVERYONE!!! OR, HE CAN NEVER SEE GOD AT
ALL!!!WE ARE ALL ONE!
When one IS CONNECTED to this COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS, He IS FULL OF
LOVE, AND that IS IN-EXHAUSTABLE!!!

Our power is within ourselves, and not within being
indoctrinated. YOu clearly see the value of
association with enlightened beings, and their
teachings, without going over board into the fanatic
camp...!
I have had a wonderful experience with the Guru as of
late, but I frame it as you have expounded...and
simply allow for his presence, as with other
saints/sages in this world and beyond, to aid me by
EXAMPLE of what it is that I know myself to also BE...

Well truly enlightened Gurus do exist. I met one and he did me the greatest favour, when no-one else could help me. In fact he did more than I ever expected or asked for. And wanted nothing in return. So you can't just generalise and assume all of them are of no use. Also a true guru will surely tell you that you have lack nothing that he has. Apart from his experience which is mind-blowing.
And my problem wasn't fear, it was messed up internal energies. He rectified this by sending me into bliss for a week. After a week I was cured - but not in bliss any longer, back to normal. Sob. But I owe him the greatest debt.
Which he apparently seems to think is nothing. The next time I saw him about a year later I thanked him for what he'd done for me and he said - it's all right, it's nothing. Well it was everything to me - God knows what I would have been like had I not stumbled across him, perhaps not even here.
Btw, if I'm speaking out of turn here I do apologise - I haven't really been following the thread.
