We've been talking recently about enlghtenment, fake enlightenment, gurus and so on in this topic in satsang cafe:
http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....TOPIC_ID=554
There's another great topic about crown awakening and other things between Anthem and Yogani, from which I am going to pull out one quote from Yogani
http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....TOPIC_ID=590
Yogani: The fanfare (big energy symptoms, ecstasy, etc.) is the friction of energy passing through unpurified nerves.
What I want to say is that I am thinking now that the whole 'culture' of the big hoopla 'siddhi gurus' is actually the 'friction of energy passing through unpurified nerves'. The unpurified nerves of the hyped 'siddhi gurus', and those of their disciples.
I think it's a cultural friction-of-energy-in-the-nerves, just as it is an individual one. We are all responsible in one way or another. It's coming in this immature form because we are an immature species. Because we have not integrated spiritual knowledge in a better and more mature way.
Some of these people ( hoopla-gurus ) are having very genuine experiences, but their leaping into those incorrect mythical roles arises out of their imperfect maturity and vision, which usually includes a certain amount of narcissism, and also the imperfect vision of a society that thinks these mythical roles are real and creates a 'demand' for someone to come to fit them.
Any thoughts?
(P.S. Yes, yes, We-know-who, we know your guru is an exception! In contrast with those maybe 100,000 deluded into thinking they are the up-and-coming World Teacher, your guru actually IS the up-and-coming World-Teacher !!! )
