My father's gift

To be what I am
Is to willingly relinquish
What I am


All of it
All the time


Long...long....
Aeons of time
Spent fighting
The absolute ultimate death


My father is dying
I am being his space
My father is born
And I am dying
Unseeingly seeing his face


The chest is raw
The pain
The unavoidable life
In expression


No urge to resist
As dilation follows contraction
Just to dilate again


The hand that hit
Is now the same as that which caresses
The face it impressed
Is undressed and undresses
A vast soulful expanse


Nothing is wanted
Not even from God
Not even wanting to be taken
As all is drowned in the giving away


All the time
Nullifies aeons of time
Only now


The tear between “wanting to give” and giving
Is sealed whole


I am the loving blood
Gushing through


Yet
Nothing is picked
Nothing is asked
And nothing is traced


The darkness shines

And Peace reigns

Sparkle
