Hey All,
I've been enjoying the illuminated lyrics thread; I've literally considered starting a Web site/blog on conscious music and lyrics ... and on their power ... the same power contained in all maps to Awareness ... whether it's in ancient scripture or in the lyric of a just-released song.
What power is that?
The power to remind us of the way home, while we need it -- and to enhance our joy of celebrating home when we open to the knowing that home is not only where we are -- home is who and what we ever are -- and -- who and what we ever are becoming.
And when we find an artist who can not only produce illuminated lyrics, but is himself or herself a realized, illuminated lyricist -- well, now -- that kicks it up a notch ... or more ... maybe infinitely more.
In the last while I've dissolved into the Heart of All completely ... yet a little more, each moment now ... this non-place of utter reality that we each/all are, that none of us can miss realizing, as long as we stay authentically open.
Practicing AYP helps, too.
It helps a lot.
And, well, AYP works.
It works all the way.
The guru is in us ... is us ... and this that we are displays in infinite forms ... and one of those forms for me is Ed Kowalcyzk .... "Ed from LIVE" ... the utter grace of this beautiful infinite life that I AM is realized, here, in no small part to the lyrics of LIVE.
Can song lyrics alone be that powerful; that efficacious in facilitating realization?
No, they cannot.
However, when they are created and offered by by an awakened lyricist ... their power is not regulated by anything other than the openness and willingness of the recipient.
"The thing that defines integral art is the consciousness of the artist." ~Ken Wilber
The quote shown above was offered by Ken Wilber in a presentation with Ed Kowalczyk (aka "Ed the singer for LIVE") on Consciousness and Integral Art ... it's well, well worth watching.
And, if you're interested ... I did start a Blog and a YouTube Channel.
The latter has multiple "Playlists" ... the main one dedicated to the music of LIVE ... but others (Kirtanlightenment, Spokenlightenment) dedicated to the some of my favorite "Sanskritical Singing" & some of my favorite enlightened wisdom of the non-musical kind (AYP members Yogani & Nandhi are featured, as are other teachers who are popular with AYP members, such as Adyashanti, Paramahamsa Nithyananda & Eckhart Tolle).
Neither the blog nor the channel is "ready for prime time" ... but it's not about "prime time" .... it's about loving just a bit too much to be able to hold anything back, or in, any longer -- gotta share it; here ya go! "Enjoy!"

These videos, these lyrics might just gladden someone's heart; might just light someone's way to this beautiful infinite home here now that we each and all are -- right here in unedited reality.
"Hence this post."
![](icon_smile_cool.gif)
Not only is enlightenment real ... enlightenment is all that's real.
And one of the most delicious aspects of this reality is that it's waking up ... it's really waking up .... right here .... right now ....
..... and it's singing.

Welcome Home, Pass It On & Enjoy The Ride,
Kirtanman
PS- And yes, LIVE lyrics will be posted here .... but for now, you've heard of soft rock ... and hard rock ... and alternative rock ..... welcome to the world of Yogic Rock!

DANCE WITH YOU By LIVE Album: The Distance to Here
sittin' on the beach the island king of love deep in fijian seas deep in some blissful dream where the goddess finally sleeps in the lap of her lover subdued in all her rage and I am aglow with the taste of the demons driven out and happily replaced with the presence of real love the only one who saves
I wanna dance with you I see a world where people live and die with grace the karmic ocean dried up and leave no trace I wanna dance with you I see a sky full of the stars that change our minds and lead us back to a world we would not face
the stillness in your eyes convinces me that I I don't know a thing and I been around the world and I've tasted all the wines a half a billion times came sickened to your shores you show me what this life is for
I wanna dance with you I see a world where people live and die with grace the karmic ocean dried up and leave no trace I wanna dance with you I see a sky full of the stars that change our minds and lead us back to a world we would not face
in this altered state full of so much pain and rage you know we got to find a way to let it go
sittin' on the beach the island king of love deep in fijian seas deep in the heart of it all where the goddess finally sleeps after eons of war and lifetimes she smilin' and free, nothin' left but a cracking voice and a song, oh lord
I wanna dance with you i see a world where people live and die with grace the karmic ocean dried up and leave no trace I wanna dance with you i see a sky full of the stars that change our minds and lead us back to a world we would not face we would not face we would not face we would not face we would not face we would not face

Dance With You VIDEO
Ed wrote this song for his Beloved.
I offer it to // share it with, my Beloved every time I hear the song, read the lyrics or think of the lyrics.
Pranam, Beloved Heart of My Heart, Sweet Life of My Life; and Thank You for sharing this wonderful dancing - all the way home.
The Beloved is available to/from/as us all, always - in all ways; the Beloved isn't someone or something we have ... as much as the Beloved is the shared LovING we are; the LOVING is always calling --- and always, ever simply wants to dance - with you -- and/or as you -- and most of all, the Beloved is simply knowing THIS -- THIS I AM -- THIS, connecting -- this union --- this yoga.
In The Grace of the Heart of It All,

THEY STOOD UP FOR LOVE By Live Album: The Distance To Here
naked lovers feel the blood beneath their veins electric nerves communicate with tiny explosions through our brains who is this energy that never left or came? give rise to passion the only glory of this human story
I give my heart and soul to the one
we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds looking back to our birth, forward to our demise even scientists say, everything is just light not created, destroyed but eternally bright masters in every time lord in every place those who stood up for love down in spite of the hate in spite of the hate
who put the flower in the barrel of that gun? who lit the candle that started the fire, burnt down the fortress, the throne? who could house all the refugees in a single shack or a lowly bungalow? who lives in a different dimension, free from the struggles we know?
I give my heart and soul to the one
we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds looking back to our birth, forward to our demise even scientists say, everything is just light not created, destroyed but eternally bright masters in everytime lord in everyplace those who stood up for love down in spite of the hate we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds they live in the light
we made it to the moon but we can't make it home waitin' on a rescue that never comes made it to the moon but we can't make it home maybe home is where the heart is given up to the one to the one
we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds lookin' back to our birth, forward to our demise we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds they live, they
they stood up for love stood up for love stood up for love they stood up for love stood up for love stood up for love
we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds masters in everytime we spend all of our lives goin' out of our minds stood up for love

They Stood Up For Love Video
This song says it all; really - ALL.
Nothing pertinent to awakening is absent from this song.
It REALLY is this simple.
If that's true though - then what good are practices?
That's "this simple", too -- practices help you to realize the grace and joy of Being - the Heart - Given, Giving, Being Given To - The One, in/as Reality.
What's the ONE thing ... the ONE quality held by every master -- in every place -- in every time?
They Stood Up For Love.
Is it because they were holy? Well, yes ("holy" just means "whole") - though not in the way it's thought of, by limited mind.
Is it because they were somehow special, or different than you?
Not even a little.
It's a lot more simple than the mind *can* get:
They Stood Up For Love because, at a certain point "Standing Up For Love" is who/what we know ourselves to actually be ... nothing else can be done.
Straight from the Grace of the Heart of It All,
Kirtanman

RUN TO THE WATER By Live Album: The Distance to Here
oh desert speak to my heart oh woman of the earth maker of children who weep for love maker of this birth 'til your deepest secrets are known to me I will not be moved I will not be moved
"don't try to find the answer when there ain't no question here brother let your heart be wounded and give no mercy to your fear"
adam and eve live down the street from me babylon is every town it's as crazy as it's ever been love's a stranger all around
in a moment we lost our minds here and lay our spirit down today we lived a thousand years all we have is now
run to the water and find me there burnt to the core but not broken we'll cut through the madness of these streets below the moon these streets below the moon
and I will never leave you 'til we can say, "this world was just a dream we were sleepin' now we are awake" 'til we can say
in a moment we lost our minds here and dreamt the world was round a million mile fall from grace thank god we missed the ground
run to the water and find me there burnt to the core but not broken we'll cut through the madness of these streets below the moon with a nuclear fire of love in our hearts
yeah, I can see it now lord out beyond all the breakin' of waves and the tribulation it's a place and the home of ascended souls who swam out there in love!
run to the water and find me there burnt to the core but not broken we'll cut through the madness of these streets below the moon with a nuclear fire of love in our hearts rest easy baby, rest easy and recognize it all as light and rainbows smashed to smithereens and be happy run to the water (and find me there) run to the water **
This video is amazing .... some of the greatest truths of all traditions ... beautiful imagery .... profound insights .... produced by a major record company ... and was, at one time, in heavy rotation on MTV ...
VIDEO: Run To The Water
Enjoy!
