I wanted to share this poem of gratitude:
"The beauty of the heart is the lasting beauty: its lips give to drink of the water of life. Truly it is the water, that which pours, and the one who drinks. All three become one when your talisman is shattered. That oneness you can't know by reasoning.
From: Mathnawi II, 716-718
- Rumi"
Take care:

Hey, Ananda, I was going to email you and thank you for helping me with your post here:
http://www.aypsite.org/forum/topic....D=4746#41133
I was in a nervous situation, recently, and I remebered what you said about becoming mindful of the breath - inhalation and exhalations. So I decided to try this out - and low and behold I felt completely relaxed and I was amazed by it! It was so simple and yet effective. Normally we don't pay attention to this, in stressful situations, and so I realized that my breath was intermitently being held and wasn't flowing naturally. Anyway, instead of attempting to use the mind to relax, I just became mindful of the breath, purposefully inhaling and exhaling, not thinking about the nervousness - and this alone had a positive affect of producing a naturally relaxed state.
Anyway, I wanted to share how you helped me. Thanks again.
Take care:
