This site has amazing potential. Everyone here is trying to help each other on the spiritual path. I am humbled by the kindness of all participants. I believe that there are many members here that have a lot to contribute but may be hesitant. Our moderators have shown knowledge and wisdom and experience that has been helpful to many. The members of this site have varying degrees of experience. All of it is of value. Newcomers to yoga and meditation have very relevant questions, doubts, opinions etc... The advanced members may share experiences that we cannot relate to. It is all of value. This is a place to feel at home and ask questions or share experiences. I have to admit that I was a little (well maybe alot) intimidated with the experience of some of the members, but we've got to give to get right? That's how the karmic wheel turns!
This forum is a unique way to share experiences and insights at all levels. We are here to help each other through this.

Hello Paul:
Thank you for your heart-felt perspective and excellent points.
It is important for everyone reading here to know that all of us are ordinary folks, and that all ordinary folks have extraordinary capabilities. That means everyone. No exceptions. It is what our status as human beings guarantees. Our nervous systems are wired for enlightenment. This is the truth. All we have to do is step up and claim it.
No one has to take that proclamation on faith. Just sit down and begin deep meditation, and see for yourself. Then, a little later on, when you feel ready, add spinal breathing pranayama and you will be well on your way to unfolding the extraordinary you. No one has a monopoly on this. Anyone can learn the methods to accelerate the rise of peace and joy that are already stirring within us, longing to express in full bloom. Contrary to what many of us have been taught since childhood, this is not an exclusive gift reserved for the few. It is something everyone can do, once the means are known. These discussions are about the practical utilization of those means by everyone.
As for posting here in the AYP Forums, that is the best way we have come up with so far for folks to both give and receive help via the ever-expanding network of practitioners. The more who come on line, the more benefits there will be for everyone, because there is great power for uncovering truth in a networked approach, especially in matters of human spiritual transformation, where each of us is a living laboratory of the enlightenment process and its many nuances. So, no matter what level of experience we happen to be at, there is much to discuss and much that can be done to improve our progress. Beginning and advanced practitioners have a lot in common -- all want to move to the next stage of development. That is what these discussions are for -- helping everyone move to the next stage, no matter what it may be. Believe it or not, beginners can contribute tremendously to the progress of advanced practitioners simply by sharing experiences and asking questions. All interactions are a two-way street, with everyone gaining according to their participation.
For those who have been posting here, you will be interested to know that, while the registered membership of the AYP Forums is modest, the unregistered readership has been in the thousands of page visits every day. As a matter of fact, about two-thirds of all page visits to aypsite.org are to the forums. There are lots of readers here from all around the world, and that is wonderful. So, if you are posting here, know that many are reading. And if you have not posted here yet, that is perfectly okay. It is a joy to know so many are finding the AYP writings to be helpful, especially now that so many others are involved in sharing their experiences along the path. It has added a whole new dimension to AYP.
So, please do carry on, everyone. These are your forums. Everyone has experiences to reveal on so many different levels. All are welcome to share. What you may feel is mundane or somehow not worthy of discussion will be absolutely profound to others. Your openings will be everyone's openings. Share your journey ... learn, practice, grow and enjoy!
The guru is in you. |
