Apocalypse occurs in each present moment. Subatomic physics has proven that persistence of form is an illusion. Realization of the ongoing moment-to-moment apocalypse of the true nature of all forms yields non-attachment to that which is impermanent - and everything is impermanent, except the love of God.
The literal meaning of the word apocalypse comes from the Greek word "apokalypsis", which can be translated as "the lifting of the veil" or "that which is revealed". In Western culture, the word apocalypse has taken on the additional meaning of "the end of the world as we know it". Melding those meanings yields the meaning I seek to convey: the ongoing ending of form as we know it, realization of which reveals the impermanence of all forms and lifts the veil of the illusion of persistence of form.
Experiencing the lifting of the veil of the illusion of persistence of form brings vairagya ... another step along the way ...
