Is anyone familiar with the meditation methods of John Selby? They are definitely a different track than AYP, but I think they might be effective. My best summary is that his method uses focused attention to put you "In The Now". He then adds other exercises to raise your level of consciousness. (Sorry if this summary sucks, but it has been a while since I read his material)

Is it practical to use more than one method of meditation? I've got this intuitive feeling that the more different two methods are, the more synergistic they could be. Kind of like with physical training. Some exercises complement each other, while others are so similar to each other that doing them both would result in over training.

Any thoughts?
