Two sisters walked along the outskirts of a major beach attraction. In quiet solitude, away from the busy city life, the stars shown more brightly in their eyes. This added weight of light put the city in a different world. Their world.
Jana and Elle took in the quiet hum of the docks, during the fall months the boats rocking in their cradles could cast in the most glorious ebb and flow of moonlight on the city docks and surrounding surf. Something they didn't experience at any other time of the year.
After the sisters developed a reputation among family, friends, and community as natural born psychics, the girls were affectionately called Oracle. That was a long time ago but the sister's still refer to one another as Oracle when communicating telepathically.
Nearing the docks, they watched the streets with all of their being. The noisy street sounds, whistles, and pops percussed on their skin. They could easily read the urgency of the town with the vibrations shimmering atop their faces. Without effort their concentration constructed fortresses of light around each person in their mind. Around objects, scenarios, solutions, dangers, new information, or anything else they could imagine.
As individuals, they could contextualize the universe into categoric light fortresses. A holographic image of the person broken down into light structures, filtered out through the concepts activated in their conscious and sub conscious minds. It was as if each being they saw was adorned in a castle of vibrating, moving, and living light. The vision of light was an encoded 3 dimensional symbol of what they were trying to understand, at that moment.
Unconsciously, and intuitively, they read the world to achieve their common goals.
But they were twins after all, and in this magical genetic scenario an amazing thing happened. Their abilities exponentially increased. Vast worlds of light-structure and information enveloped, possessed, and assumed control of their minds. Worlds of color and subtle data, of unfathomable size, inverted into the very being of the sisters Jana and Elle.
But no one new this, no else could see. Any one person would have died from such a spontaneous event, but two apparently could survive.
Jana was looking in the window of an antique store and she was abruptly 'tapped on the shoulder'.
She turned around to look towards the docks, peering simultaneously through three city blocks expecting to see a vague impression of the ongoings. Her field of vision was warped around an object not far away, and so she could read nothing from that area. Elle?
Jana's younger sister, by three whole minutes, was already a block ahead of her. She felt no fear coming from her sister, but set out immediately to join her. As she made way the normal lights began to emerge in her view, and the outline of the city docks returned to her sight.
While approaching the object, their auric vision began picking up on an enormous field of light. The circumference of the field had a reddish tint, the inner core blue, and at the center nothing. No light. As one perceived object it was at least a city block in size.
Go towards the darkness, the object blinds us at a certain distance. They ran into the sand, kicking off their sandals carelessly. They saw nothing but the auric hue of crashing waves, and some bodies of heat flowing in the water. They could detect a blanket of life growing on the sea floor below.
A gust of ocean air blew their long golden hair backwards as their feet first hit the sand. They saw something, a flash of moonlight reflecting off what appeared to be a child. Run Oracle!.
The child's long black hair was wrapped around her body, entangled with seaweed and the strong scent of the deep sea. The child was wearing a torn dress, its blue color no longer visible to the normal person's vision. It was modestly priced.
They were shocked to see her breathing, especially because her hands were entangled by her long dark hair. It would've been near impossible for her even to swim. Where did she come from?
Oh God, nothing, everything was gone in an instant. It was as if lightening struck and the twins were blinded completely in what could only be imagined as white light. They were without fear, waiting an eternity of time before the darkness of the night sky slowly returned and oriented them to their earthly frame of reference.
Jana and Elle came to waking consciousness looking face to face, hunching over the girl, staring into each other's eye. Entrained within the center of each other's eye, they fixated on a bluish white light.
The sisters slowly peered down to the unconscious child. They saw under her eyelids she was looking at them. She was asleep, but the child's eye was still focused on them, taking in information.
