Love shares all with love
Love shares all in love
Love shares in our resisting
It is the solvent of truth that remains
When all returns to nothing

LOVE
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, is not pompous, It is not inflated, it is not rude, It does not seek its own interests, It is not easily provoked, It does not brood over injury, It does not rejoice over wrongdoing, But rejoices in the Truth. It bears all things, Believes all things, Hopes all things, Endures all things. Love never fails. So Faith, Hope, Love remain, These three; But the greatest of these is...LOVE.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13

Love is Here
Love is here; it is the blood in my veins, my skin. I am destroyed; He has filled me with Passion. His fire has flooded the nerves of my body. Who am I? Just my name; the rest is Him.

My Heavenly Father, Thou art Love, and I am made in Thine image. I am the cosmic sphere of Love in which I behold all planets, all stars, all beings, all creation as glimmering lights. I am the Love that illumines the whole universe.

When my Beloved appears, With what eye do I see Him? With His eye, not with mine, For none sees Him except Himself.

The Living Flame Of Love
Songs of the soul in the intimate communication of loving union with God.
O living flame of love that tenderly wounds my soul in its deepest center! Since now you are not oppressive, now consummate! If it be your will: tear through the veil of this sweet encounter!
St. John of the Cross

Hi Scott!
I'm glad you liked it. What I posted here is but one of several verses comprising the entire poem, which can be found along with the other collective works of St. John of the Cross here:

I Am Come Into The Morning
Without you, love, I would have only known part, Not all. I would have missed much, The quiet woodlands of your being, The benediction of your calm. Without your presence I would have been halved, Blurred, An echo.
If you had not come to claim me I would have been bereft of self, Without partner, Without child, And the sweet song-birds of our lives Would have been absent, silent. I would not have known where to shelter And I would have wept.
But I have been blessed with my inheritance. I have been chosen your beloved And you, I chose, as mine. We are met, mated, one In the deepest recesses of all wisdom, God.
With you, love, I am come into the morning.

When I was, God was not; Now God is, I am not; Ravidas says the path of Love is too narrow to admit two.
this is a couplet of saint Ravidas; roughly it means that God's presence is not felt so long as the individual ego is present in a personality. |

I just remembered that the absolutely most beautiful love poem I know is actually just a piece of English grammar... I have seen this as a love poem since I first learned it as a kid:
I am You are He... She...:
It is

"Every day, priests minutely examine the Dharma And endlessly chant complicated sutras. Before doing that, though, they should learn How to read the love letters sent by the wind and the rain, the snow and moon."
