Yogani is an anonymous American writer and spiritual teacher who was one of the first to convey his teachings strictly through online outlets. He has since had many books published which correlate to the online lessons.
Yogani’s teaching is an integrated, non-sectarian system of advanced yoga practices using an open source format previously unheard of in similar traditions. The self-pacing technique at the center of the system encourages the practitioner to move at their own pace through a series of powerful spiritual practices, using their inner guru as a guide while cultivating inner silence and raising ecstatic kundalini in a safe and manageable way.
In 2003, Yogani started AYP (Advanced Yoga Practices) as an open source system so that the teachings can be transmitted in a "flat" manner, from the writings to the student, and in forum communications between students, with occasional input from Yogani. This method avoids making Yogani a "guru", or putting him on a pedestal. The steadily increasing spiritual energy of our age makes it possible for students to aspire to enlightenment without the need for a personal guru. Constant discussions in the forum by students actually practicing the methods, avoids the pitfalls of some past systems where students did what they were told without knowing what was happening or where they were going.
