Does yoga go against the bible? Does the bible say anything about these practices?
Advanced yoga practices do not go against the bible. Of course, there are hundreds of different interpretations depending on whom you listen to, but the general theme in the bible is love, tolerance, and devotion to God, which agrees completely with Yoga.
In fact there are quite a few scriptures referring to Yoga practices in the bible. They are a little hard to see until you know Yoga well. Our western culture is not built around yoga practices and experiences, and so neither is our language. One of the great benefits of AYP is that Yogani has researched and tested methods that started in a different culture and language, and made them easy to understand in our language.
Although Yoga began in Hinduism, it is not a religion. Yoga is a number of practices that facilitate purification of the nervous system. As the nervous system is purified, it automatically begins the enlightenment process. No matter what religion you belong to, if you are devoted, it greatly helps the purification process. And in turn, that process will contribute to your religion.
