"The spirit manifests itself to a warrior at every turn. However, this is not the entire truth. The entire truth is that the spirit reveals itself to everyone with the same intensity and consistency, but only warriors are consistently attuned to such revelations."

"For a warrior, the spirit is an abstract only because he knows it without words or even thoughts. It's an abstract because he can't even conceive what the spirit is. Yet, without the slightest chance or desire to understand it, a warrior handles the spirit. He recognizes it, beckons it, entices it, becomes familiar with it, and expresses it with his acts."

"When a man embarks on the warriors' path he becomes aware, in a gradual manner, that ordinary life has been left forever behind. The means of the ordinary world are no longer a buffer for him; and he must adopt a new way of life if he is going to survive."

"The voice of the fallen angel is so loud that we cannot hear the voice of our spirit, our integrity, our love. This silent voice is always there. Before we learned to speak, when we were one and two years old, we listened to this voice."

There is no act which is more powerful than the act of believing. The warrior is a being who believes in his divine abilities as a magical being of the universe. The sorcerer, on the other hand, does not believe in his Godlike potential, and therefore feels the need for the power he thinks he lacks.

Hi Lorf, thanks for joining in

"Every activity of your life can become a ritual of love -- eating, walking, talking, working, playing. When everything becomes a ritual of love, you are no longer thinking; you are feeling. Just to be alive makes you intensely happy."

Thank you Balance, I appretiate that you started this thread, these Naguals have a direct way of expressing knowledge which normally is hard to grasp. One of my favorites:

"The original state of energy is empty and pure potentiality, without inherent forms. One must be able to honor the manifestation and at the same time listen to and visualize the original-not a derivative language-and understand it, in order to obtain the complete wisdom being expressed."

Hi lorf. Nagual statements sometimes remind me of phrases from old Chinese Ch'an (Zen) masters. I am just recently appreciating the down-to-earth offerings of Nagual Don Miguel Ruiz (thanks Anthem, yogani & all for recommending him). He touches my heart:

"The only way to know love is to experience love, to have the courage to jump into the ocean of love, and perceive it in its totality. Once you experience love, you can't find the words to explain what you feel, but you see love coming from everyone, from everything, from everywhere."

How could I want anything else?

Wisdom from Gaya, Don Miguel Ruiz's wife in "Beyond fear":

"We always attract people and circumstances for our healing, in order to make everything good again. If you want to know which part of you that needs to heal and lighten, that needs to come out of that place of condemnation within yourself, look at your partner."

Hi emc

"Once you get out of the box, out of the dream, you cannot fit back into the box of reasonable explanations. You expand immeasurably. I am no longer contained. Everything is love.

"You have within yourself the power, every second, to transform your experience. That is where the magic is. The key to magic is self-awareness."

"We don't have to attach to our beliefs. If we are not attached to our beliefs and a better concept comes to us, we can let go of the old concept, adopt the new concept, and improve our life much faster. We can let go of the distorted images we identify with. We can detach from the agreements and beliefs that limit the expression of our creativity and our love. This frees our energy to create a new dream. And what we create is a masterpiece of art: our own life."

"We do not need to protect ourselves from anyone. We only need to protect ourselves from ourselves. If something affects us, it probably stirs our sense of personal importance. We become vulnerable when our ego is stirred. A feeling of insult or upset is a signal that our personal importance is still active and needs cleansing."

"Working at dismantling one's view of the world, but at the same time trying to keep one's self image intact, one invariably sets up an imbalance that continues to escalate."

For Gaya:
...among the greatest influences to ourselves
are the many-ones that come from within ourselves...
(and true "self-knowledge" can be very difficult to obtain)

"For thousands of years people have believed there is a conflict between good and evil in the universe. But this is not true. The real conflict is between truth and what is not truth. The conflict exists in the human mind, not in the rest of nature. Good and evil are the results of that conflict. Believing in truth results in goodness; believing in and defending what is not truth results in evil. Evil is just the result of believing in lies."
