Nowadays every time I sit to meditate, my breath just becomes really fast, everything gets really intense, and I feel like I'm reliving my birth. This would be fine, if it were a one-off thing, but I have cried and screamed and hoped the experience would resolve and I can move on, but there is an energy which is still stuck (around manipura / navel area).
Thoughts? |

Hi Rerince,
If you are following the guidelines in AYP, then the advice would be to self-pace your practice downwards, until you find a comfortable level of practice. At the same time, you would add grounding practices to your daily routine to make sure you are staying stable. This is discussed in lesson 69 on this website.
If you self-pace your practice downwards and find that you are still experiencing this discomfort, then you should keep cutting back on your practices until you reach a stable and comfortable level of practice.
