Im just wondering about my swaying. Everyday I practice my feet sway or shake and my head sways as well. Its always one or the other. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast. I've been practicing for over 2 years and this is something I just accept as natural for me. I do enjoy the meditation very much. I had a really rough day at work today, lots of pressure and stress, even got into with the boss lady where it turned into a loud argument. So after work I went to get the burger joint to get some unhealthy food. I love cheeseburgers! The drive there was just so peaceful and beautiful. All that work stress just seemed to dissapear. I have most of existential moments in life driving in my car. The sun was setting, that big fiery red ball. Everything just seemed so perfect and I felt a deep connection with existence. So I did my meditation before I got my food and it went really well. I think I put out a good presence at the burger joint because the cook gave me a free order of steak frys |

Thanks for your post, firosiro!
I have the same experience when meditating, also outside of practices... If I let it go my body makes whole yogapostures automatically.
This is called automatic yoga, you can read about it on this site.
Sometimes the headmovments during meditation are fast, almost violent. Sometimes calmer and slower... I think it depends on the pressure in my mind and body at the moment so to speak.
I think this is something we will have to accept, and live with. I have found a way to relax in it, even in meditation :)

Welcome to the AYP forum firosiro!
It sounds like your practice is going very well. If the swaying is not uncomfortable, then it's nothing to worry about. Good things are happening.
Enjoy! |
