i peer at the cogs the spring
the hands as they move
ticking tocking mocking the mind
deeper it goes into segments
carving up eternity to fixed points
reality relies on this delusion
the reality of mans parameters anyway
understanding this i slow it all
until it becomes just a flow
like the water over a pebble
in a stream from a source not far from here.

Cool.

I have been experiencing these time lapses and I don't know what to make of them. For example, every morning I join a queue of cars to get to work. This morning, I was in traffic as usual, then at some point, I lost the reality continuum. When I came back to myself, there was no sign of the queue of cars in front of me - which would have been ok, I could have easily wandered off in thoughts - but then the cars behind me would have been honking for me to drive on. I looked in the rear mirror and there were no cars behind me either! I sped up way beyond the speed limit and finally caught up with the line of cars some 2 Kms away. And lo behold, the line of cars behind me was there as well.

Figure that out!
