in gratitude for your love
even the pain that was
and now the pain that is
in gratitude for every morsel that sustains
now the peace that comes
the small mercies shown of heart for others
grateful to be shown that to live
is life in you and i feel your pleasure for this
in gratitude for existence in this body
at this time in this place .
