For over a month now I have been having ecstatic breathing. I know it is this because my AYP teacher told me - does anyone have any thing they can tell me about it?
I keep finding myself pulling in sharp breaths, and my heart being filled with ecstasy - as I sit at home in the evenings, or out walking, I find myself having these very deeply moving ecstatic breaths. I did ask my teacher, and he told me to just enjoy it!
I wonder if anyone else has anything else they can add to this for me?

Once kundalini commences, it comes in bursts of various intensities, enjoyable yes! It has now been a year and there is a noticeable shift for me as kundalini has refined to flow like a "normalized" subtler stream throughout the day, a radiance, rather than firecracker pops of energy. I am liking this progression very much as I don't feel the urge to micromanage those bursts like I used to; yoga has switched on the autopilot. |

Hello Ekmau!
It seems that your practice is going well, and the pranayama is stimulating the ecstatic conductivity in the body. Yes, it does feel like the heart is filled with ecstacy - you are flowering from the inside! And the parfume of the blossoming heart is love love love.
The rise of ecstatic conductivity is one of the landmarks of progress on the spiritual path. You might enjoy reading Yogani's lesson:

Are you having a stable meditation practice, maybe following a pranayama practice? If you do, you only need to enjoy the ecstacy in the daily living. Continue with your spinal breathing and deep meditation, and your spiritual path will take you farther.
