I have been practicing kechari for some time and able to reach my tongue more behind. But as I am doing it even though my tongue can reach more behind as soon as I hit the passage boundary behind - I almost feel like throwing up. For people who have been able to do it - How were you able to overcome that feeling? any tips to help with being able to get the tongue back without the feeling to throw up ?

The "gag reflex" should leave you alone automatically, i had this same thing and it came to pass on it's own.
Keep trying, eventually you will be good to do kechari without the gag reflex.

Vivekv I agree with Anibaru that it should get less with time.

I've been at it several years but still get the gag feeling if I strain too much initially instead of gently progressing just like doing asanas.
