i breathe in deep from my belly and let out a heavy sigh
grown tired from wanting anything other than what i have
and what do i have but a temporary view from a body bound to expire

then the ancient memory of timelessness comes back to remind me:
that's not it, that's not it at all
you've got it all wrong--so zoomed in on the moment that's already slipping away

so i zoom out beyond the suffering
and breathe in deeper than when i breathed before
and this time, the calmness of heart, which is eternally filled, tells me:
relax kid, all these things will come to pass, and more.

you're chasing a shadow of yourself cast from light beams and snow flakes
and the order of harmony never got so disaligned as when you let go into the perfection
of the storyboard sketch artist of the man in motion i could never create
but i could somehow become, and in becoming, live the dream while asleep or awake.

and everybody's saying to wake up and become enlightened
or to dream of something more, but that body of mine puffs up like french toast
sometimes burnt and crispy, sometimes light and fluffy on the good days
and i tell a girl how my heart is on fire and how my chest is hot to the touch
and she doesn't quite understand because i guess those symptoms don't occur to her.

but maybe she will one day, and i wouldn't wish it on anyone unless it was super-smooth
because that's the way to fly, and i fly that way some days, and i venture to say i'll be flying that way
all of the time when the time is right--but wait! forget about the future, because the time is Now
and Now contains all that has been and all that ever will be
so i remind you: relax, kid.

i've been imitating masters since i was born, and i guess the masters might imitate me
since we're all carbon copies spinning through a cycle of past-life progresson
and i don't need to channel any entities to realize this--it just kind of comes intuitive-like, you know,
like the way we feel serene and good and buoyant when we're floating in the empty fullness of Being.

Ah... Might I catch a gust?

Sometimes the shadow chases me. Live the dream. Fly high, fly far, fly light and wide. Take to sky when carbons lie!
