Namaste
Here are some words of wisdom that inspire me. This will be an open, ongoing thread. Feel free to add. Please make yourself comfy, stay a while, and be happy! ----------
From Ramakrishna as We Saw Him:
Sri Ramakrishna used to say: "Struggle a little! Then the guru will help you further." The Master used to sing, "Mind, struggle unto death. Can a pearl be found in knee-deep water? If you want to realize him, dive into the very depths of the ocean..."
Our master could not bear the word sin. He told people not to consider themselves sinners, and taught them to think. "I am chanting the name of God. Why should I worry? When shall a child of the Mother of the Universe fear?" |

The Weaver of God’s Name (Kabir)
Lord, I am the weaver of Thy Name; I weave and reap the profit Of inner rapport with Thee. I weave the cloth of Thy Name, O Lord. I have firmly strung my loom With ten hundred threads; The sun and moon I hold as my witness. Endlessly I count Thy Name And take it as my wages; I gently deposit it Within the lotus feet of my heart. I am the weaver of Thy Name, Surat and nirat are the two pegs* That hold the frame of my loom; Thus I weave with care and discernment The cloth of Thy Name. I weave and reap the profit Of inner rapport with Thee. The shuttle I have loaded With the yarn of divine knowledge; While engaged in such weaving I realized my own true self. Sublime and imperishable Is the wealth I have earned, And I have gained The state of perfect peace Lord, I am the weaver of Thy Name; I weave and reap the profit Of inner rapport with Thee. In vain men search for Him In mountains and dales; Within my body I found Him, So close to me. I weave the cloth of the Lord’s Name. Repetition I made the dabber To clean and purify my mind; Realization I made the comb To remove the twists and twirls That entangled my being. Thus become immaculate, I remain absorbed in His love. Without wandering about, I earned the gift of love Within my own home. I am the weaver of the Lord’s Name. The fruitless toil Of weaving for the world Has come to an end; Evil tendencies have owned defeat; I have attained The dazzling state of bliss- Free from fear, free from pain. Kabir, Thy slave, thus weaving Realized supreme truth; His doubts are dissolved, His misery, ended. I am the weaver, O Lord, of Thy Name; I weave and reap the profit Of inner rapport with Thee.
From Kabir, the Weaver of God’s Name, by V.K. Sethi, Radha Soami Satsang Beas,1984.
* Surat and nirat are the faculties of the soul for hearing and seeing, respectively.

Beautiful! Anima Deorum, Thank you for posting! Here is a Kabir poem which has deep meaning and resonates strongly within my being.
Abode Of The Beloved
Oh Companion That Abode is Unmatched Where my Complete Beloved is.
In that place there is no happiness or unhappiness. No Truth or Untruth. Neither Sin nor Virtue There is no Day or Night, No Moon, or Sun There is Radiance Without Light.
There is no Knowledge or Meditation No repetition of Mantra or Austerities. Neither Speech Coming from Vedas or Books Doing, Not Doing, Holding, Leaving, All these are lost too in this place.
No home, no homeless, neither outside or inside, Micro and Macrocosm are Non- Existent. Five Elemental Constituents and The Trinity are both not there. Witnessing Un-struck Shabad Sound is also not there.
No root or flower, neither branch or seed Without a tree, fruits are adorning. Primordial OM Sound, Breath Synchronized Soham This and That- All are Absent The Breath too Unknown.
Where the Beloved Is there is utterly nothing Says Kabir, I have come to Realize Whoever Sees My Indicative Sign Will Accomplish the Goal of Liberation.
Found this poem online that is composed of Poems of Kabir. |

Wow, Indigo. He describes it so comfortably, in such familiar terms. It makes me burn to go back.
Thank you. |

Caught in the Fire of Love
My heart is on fire, In my madness I roam the desert, The flames of my passion devour the wind and the sky, My cries of longing, my wails of sorrow Are tormenting my soul- You wait patiently, looking into my intoxicated eyes, You accept my passion with the serenity of love, You are the Master of Existence: One day I shall be a lover like you.

An old Latin proverb says,
"To err is human." (att. Seneca)
The 18th century poet, Alexander Pope, says in his Essay on Criticism,
"To err is human, to forgive divine."
Ain't that the truth?
