A dark poem. Do you know Her name?
The Shark
Men are swept away by prideful vanity, Accepting their fate, yet only when taken. Herald the shark to swiftness, dear prey. And feel sharp, gleeful gnashing of teeth.
Know Her, fierce--creature of the deep! All have met the gaze of those demonic eyes, Longing for the bite of ecstasy in defeat: In hidden waters thrashes bloody victory.
Merciless, She swims, circling the kill, Abundant is Her justice, agony Her thrill. Avoid Her if you can, but only if She wills.

Hope you don't mind if I springboard off the tone and do a somersault to prolong the continuum of sharkness...
she was the queen of the slipstream all wrapped in seaweed, though she had claws that could snap you in two she had to stay mean to protect the terrain from the cancer of consumption
so the disease was devoured by her sharp truth which cut through bone leaving nothing but remnants of marrow in its wake. |
