Fresh translation and commentary on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (in english), a series of youtube videos.
I love this guy William Gillies. He's a softly spoken Scottish man and I believe he has considerable spiritual insight. He's a little boring to listen to at first, but when you get used to him, you realize he's giving a deeply insightful commentary, making ancient texts relevant to the current time, and easy to understand.
Did a rather ugly copy and paste of some of the contents below. I'm currently listening through his commentary and reading of the Yoga Vasistha (Swami Venkatesananda's translation), and I've found it brilliant. I cannot wait to work through the Patanjali translation.
Given a chance to start my life over again, I'd have chosen to become a Sanskrit scholar... Ah well, maybe next time.

Yes that swamij website is rather brilliant. Gradually this path, my determination to keep following it, and the beneficial changes on experiences from treading it, sink deeper and deeper into my being. The yoga sutras are like the complete guide to enhancing this process. |
