As logs of mixt bulks and colors
Burn to telltale greys of embers
Thoughts, wants needs and desires
Scorch and sputter to formless cinders
A nameless quest, a wordless prayer
A hunger so great it is tough to bear
Heart riven by fiery flares
A whisper commands to give up and dare
Falling, falling, breaking to shards
From all that was known and all that was
Who knows if it will come to pass?
For now burn a thousand suns
Causing many a deep rip and run
For now all there is to do
Is let the fire of longing through

Reminds me of another sweet poem written from the heart. Even then the words poured devotion and a readiness to let go all the way.

Stumbling, a dark cold night
Shrinking, melancholy, sheer fright
Maze of questions, “Is this it?”

Courage and trust the Voice seeks
