Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed]. ..
And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And fulfill the covenant of Allah. This has He instructed you that you may remember."
Since starting meditation and spiritual practices I seem to go through things on a deeper level which I was not aware of before.
Because of lack of free will during sleep,I went through unpleasant circumstances (Unpleasant for my person at least)...that left me so confused and feeling sad because I started all this just to be closer to Allah, only to find myself going through what he over and over warned against.
"And do not approach forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed"
The forbidden immortalities are: "same-sex intercourse ,adultery and murder"
I always dreamt myself in sexual relation with a woman.Different woman everytime.& I'm just playing my role & the movement come automatically without any enjoyment from my part & I feel there's energy transmission going from my side to her & I can see her shaking in ecstasy.
When I woke up,I felt confused of what happened as I have no interest in women!
last time,I saw a male friend in dream in similar situation.& that was way too confusing for me.1stly because he's a friend and I don't think of him that way…& 2ndly,he has an adorable girlfriend so even if I liked him ( which is not the case) I would shift my attention from him. Being good friends with this person,I asked him to be frank and say if I crossed his mind that night. He said yes he always prays to God that I notice him and we be together and send Love my way.& he did fantasize about me that night. "very romantic Mr…except you forgot a little minor detail …"You Have a girlfriend!"…Ofcourse I didn't tell him this : I just said that I don't share his feeling. He's a brother and a friend.& he'll stay this way.
I know now I have nothing directly to do with what was going on in dreams. The only thing from my side,I seem to respond and not say no to Whatever comes my way irrespective of what I want or don't want.
So I figured out I'm in deep S***.I'm like an open room anyone can come in and out.Zero protection!
Read Sri Aurobindo and the mother's book on sleep & followed the instruction there…they didn't seem to provide any protection for me.
Asked God for protection before I sleep…It didn't work either.
One thing only worked. I've been repeating "Ayet Alkursi" before I fall asleep for the last two weeks & I'm having peaceful sleep again "Youpppiii …At Last!".So far it's working…Here's it is for anyone who has similar concern:
Allah , the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He know what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He will. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Happy sleep and dreams everybody.

I do need this also... Dreams are far much more twisted over here... From the extremit isy of what divine and good to the extremity of what is devilish and violent...

& Angels do turn to devils sometimes where I am right now too.ELhamdullah for everything & for letting us be aware of things that many others are not aware of...they are still snoring!
I'm up to face anything that comes my way if that is a guaranteed step towards Allah |

I would allow your dreams to run their course. One function of dreams is to live out all the unresolved issues in our lives. If you try to control troublesome dreams it will be crazymaking. Enjoy your dreams, they are scenery. Let them go and don't cling or resist. In your waking life make good responsible choices. That is my opinion. |

Your advise didn't help fully over here dear Namath but there was a change in the intensity... I was thinking pretty much on the same lines with Victor before but the dreams are becoming more and more upsetting because of their intensity... I've noticed that when I cut down on meditation the intensity lowers down... Perhaps more and more self pacing methods are in need... Salam |

Hi Victor
I'm not sure what you mean by trying to control the dream...If reciting an Ayah in the Quran has offered astral protection, you're advising to drop it?
I'm not really clinging neither resisting...as I said before they run their course automatically and I'm just watching & playing the role with zero emotion.
In the waking state I don't make choices...I ask Allah for directions. The only unwise decision that I made on my own was when I started practices I dropped praying & guidance prayer since it was causing overload with AYP practices & meditation... thinking as long as the intention is Allah ...then any practice will do , no need to cling to traditional prayer.
But from where I am now,I can see I was very wrong,I made the path harder on myself by following my own judgement without bringing it back to Allah.Prayer offers protection and so does some verses of holy Quran. Why would I drop a great tool like that?
I weren't asking for advice Victor, the matter is solved.I was just sharing
Hey Ananda,
Glad you find Victor's advice helpful because to be frank,it didn't touch me at all."Sorry Victor,I so like your comments but this one is not speaking to my person"
You could have give it some patience and time to work Ananda, but ofcourse for each their own path.
Salam everybody

Ananda!
last night,I was reciting the Quran & I suddenly started crying.tears were flowing non stop and the cry originated from deep within the right side of my chest...I asked myself when I'm crying like this...there was no answer .Just continuous crying while reciting holy quran.then my brother started throwing up and throwing up till only transparent liquid was coming from his stomach...He's great today.
What it a coincidence? maybe.Allah only know.

I agree; a good responsible advice. The key to calmer dreams is in our waking life. |

In my humble experience, sex during sleep is a problem which can be solved with a double-sided approach:
1- first and foremost, stop lustful thoughts during the day. Stop watching pornography. If you have a wife, don't rely on fantasies to get excited. It will be best to dedicate some months to master celibacy without sex, to purify the mind;
With this, you can also apply prayers, holy scriptures, etc...
2- second, burn your excess sexual energy before sleep. This is done exclusively trough breath retention;
Hope to be helpfull

o.k Forgive my laughing I can answer now Vimala
"stop lustful thoughts during the day."
Not applicable. There isn't any lustful thoughts.
"Stop watching pornography" Not applicable ,I don't watch
" If you have a wife, don't rely on fantasies to get excited. " Not applicable.I'm a female by the way!
"It will be best to dedicate some months to master celibacy without sex, to purify the mind;" I've been Celibate for like seven month.I had like few weeks relation last august(who disappeared...I think he became a suicide bomber or something!" & before that I've been celibate since 2009... // Nun project over here
" second, burn your excess sexual energy before sleep. " That's something I would never do.Firstly, because I have no interest in masturbation.Second because my attention & thought is totally with Allah upon sleep.
Thanx for your input, sorry for my laughs before,

Laughs can be hidden when writing on a forum.
Don't know if you want to humiliate me or something like that. Whatever you mean,
Peace and love |

No intention to humiliate you or anyone Vimala.
your reply and others' made me laugh because non read my post in detail and thus the replies came general and not related to my person.
I tend to be spontaneous in my responds & can't see any reason to hide my laugh when I feel like laughing .
My second reply came to make it clear I meant to harm...nevertheless misunderstood again
