Born this way and changing

I was born this way with all my claws
No one said it is nature's plan
I was sad thinking of all the flaws
when my body liked to further the clan

where was this mind the elusive
oh they said it is in nine places
it showed up when i was persuasive
only to disappear when i am lost in faces

to find the mind was quiet a grind
now it is leading me on to the past
oh so much meat to make a rind
stranded alone with no insight

where do I get the courage
to face the drama again
should others lend a shoulder
or would my self relieve the pain
