the competitor in your mind can kill you, if you let it.
the one that walks around and says:
"i am better than them, and if they are better than me at something,
then i am definitely better than them at many other things.
i am the best. there are none better."
of equal disaster is the miserable, defeated one.
"i am the worst. i am not good enough for such company,
such achievements, such feelings of unshakable serenity and orgasmic ecstasy."
who then, is the one that will set you free?
it is the voice that speaks without care for whether it is approved or shunned.
it is the voice the rests quietly upons its knowingness beyond knowledge.
it starts a conversation and lets it wander with no hope of controlling its destination.
it only hopes that other voices will resound and echo with the same truth, albeit uniquely said,
and that is enough.
it is enough to speak and listen, speak and listen
not knowing what will happen, but knowing that the voices are joined
in a canyon of wavelengths contained in the palm of a hand. |
