Namaste:

Currently, I am following meditation method which involves focusing on heart.

During meditation, many thoughts and scenes arises. I observe that my body is reacting to those scenes. For example, if a scene of touching a hot plate comes up, there is withdrawal sensation (kind of jerk motion) in my hands. Some times body shrugs, and all the jerk motions are in response to the thoughts/scenes which arises. I wanted to know is this because I am concentrating too much on the thoughts itself? Is this common? Does this go away eventually? I try to focus on the heart region as much as possible during the meditation.

Please share your thoughts on this.

Regards,
Hemanth

Yes these are just thoughts and your body is reacting. Imagine biting into a lemon and see what happens.
